X2: The Threat was a reasonably successful title. Moreso in Europe than over here it would seem.
The series owes a huge debt to the original space trading classic,
Elite. A game that was huge it in it's time. In fact so huge, it's
a surprise that we don't have more games like it now.
Regardless, Egosoft have their X series, and they're gearing up for the third iteration of the series, called Reunion,
