No PS3? No MGS soup for you…

The man-god himself, Hideo Kojima, has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 4 will NOT be on any
system other than Sony's Playstation 3.
However, Kojima has professed his love for Xbox 360. Well, in a manner of speaking. Could this wind up like MGS 2 did?
The original game being an exclusive, but then the Substance style version with lots of added booty appearing on other
systems?
Whatever the case, for now, if you want a slice of that sweet, sweet Metal Gear action, you're going to have to give
Sony some cash.

I'm getting kind of tired of people saying they won't buy this system because of the controller, which they have yet to actually try. Especially since the third partys are probably already making plans for controllers due to the ammount of bad press.
Besides if they try to get rid of it won't it just come back?

Just so you guys know, that dildorang, heh I like the name, is not the final model, they said it themselves when they showed it off. I remember it being called a conceptual model via a little propped up piece of paper when they showed the PS3 off in person. However I’m not expecting a Dual Shock controller since Sony was sued for using the Dual Shock. Sony is dumb about formats, yes, but they aren’t dumb enough to have that controller as the final model.

PS3 can HAVE this piece of trash. The Metal Gear Solid games have been going downhill quickly. I am much more interested in playing instead of watching stupid movies about a nonsensical plot.

And P_Snap. If you think about "3rd Party Controllers" they'd have to bank in on the fact that the original controller would in theory suck. Granted it's not out. But how many people refused to buy XBox cause the controller was too big? I know people who didn't buy the N64 or the Gamecube because of their controllers.
If that Controller sucks. People won't buy the system...
I have to buy it if I wanna play Metal Gear Solid 4 it appears. :(

As far as people not buying it, I know it will happen I just don't understand it given that likely there will be other options available. Also I seriously doubt whatever controller they go with will be totaly unusable.
However I always wait untill I see a good library of games before I buy a system anyway and by that time any easily fixed issues, such as bad controllers are usually solved by that time.
Oh, and sorry for the multiple posting.

From my understanding, Sony was sued over the Dual Shock for the method used for the vibration functions, not the controller itself. So there's no real reason that Sony couldn't remove vibration, change the way it is done, or pay up to the company, and keep the Dual Shock controller design.

Um, you think MGS2 and 3 are trash? Disappointing can be an opinion. Trash can not.
And apparently you didn't play MGS3, which was MUCH better in EVERY way than MGS2 and unquestionably game of the year last year.

Eran have you ever played a game thats like everyday life....god you must be a boring person if you have. Games are suppose to be nonsense, i mean a blue hedgehog collecting rings...do you see that everyday?
And another thing Eran if you don't like games that are interactive movies then pick a different genre and stop moaning about MGS!
As for the PS3...i admit the controller does look like it will be ackward to hold but i won't really know until i actually hold one. So i'm not going to judge it until i've used one. But i'm probably going to end up buying a PS3 just so i can play MGS4....hmmm bye bye student loan
