Badass squirrel alert - Conker: Live & Reloaded

Rare was supposed to do big things for Microsoft's Xbox.
Grabbed by the Ghoulies? Yeah… Well, they've finally gotten around to a Conker update, and while we haven't
gotten familiar with the dirty little furry critters yet, other critics are certainly chattering away:

I've played it, it's really quite good. The gameplay is creative, the puzzles are inventive, and the story is so weird it's good!
My only qualm with it is the shortness of the truly fun levels (WW2 shooter and RE4 clone sections.) Also the ending is rather lackluster, but it's not your usual "happy" ending, so it get's a half thumb up.
I can't comment on the multiplayer that much since Microsoft banned Xboxes with the release of Halo2 (guarenteeing that I'll never legitimatly aquire an Xbox game again.) But playing against bots is certainly fun. The aircraft in the game seem a bit overly powerful though. I was able to get over 100 kills and 0 deaths by spawncamping in a flying ship of death.

They use the same fur technique from the 4 year old StarFox Adventures GameCube game.
Potty humor abounds in this Nintendo 64 remake. N64 with a new coat of paint? Yep.

Is the single player aspect of the game just an update of the N64 Conker's Bad Fur Day? Does Mr. Poo make an appearance?
I tried out the XBox Mag demo a while back and it seems like the part of the WW2 era where you're moving around in hallways with the laser tripped bombs is *much* easier than the N64 version. The N64 version sometimes is frustrating enough to throw the controller!!

Rocks rocks rocks so hilarious clean new graphics not as hard as the n64 and nice gameplay two thumbs way up its the best game i have for xbox

I really like this XBox conversion, I'd always thought that the first Conker could do with a graphical make over, and now they have, in a massive way. The multiplayer mode is loads of and the XBox live option plays perfectly, no slow down or annoying delays. Just loads of fun. I am VERY disappointed with Conker! They spent more time developing animations when your doing nothing then they did on the gameplay! There is a serious lack of camera control and character abilities. The levels are very basic in design and I find myself more frustrated then challenged. The camera seems to work against you especially under water. Try swiming SLOWLY through sevral spining blades only to be chopped up and put back at the beginning on the level.. I expected something more innovative and ended up with a game less impressive then Mario 64. To top it all off the dialog was extreemly slow and not very funny.. the story was boring aswell.. I give this game a fantastic 1 out of 5!
-Floaty particles and glowing textures are not evetrything.

I think that the game was brilliant! I really enjoyed the last conker campaign and this redone version made me want to play conker more! I love how you have speech bubles like in the comic! what other game has done that! I'd also have to say having a bat with nails in it is better than the frying pan:) I give conker 10/10 expecially cuz of the live play!
