Just another innocent update, or malicious anti-homebrew conspiracy tactic? We'll give Sony the benefit of the doubt for now, but that doesn't change the fact that the UMD edition of Coded Arms will come fully loaded with PSP Firmware Update 1.50 right there on the disc. And, like it or not, you won't be able to play Coded Arms until you've installed the update to your system (hence the above pic). Fortunately, as all you hacker types already know, update 1.50 has already been proven unworthy by a legion of PSP homebrewers. But what if the update hadn't already been cracked? And what if the game had been Grand Theft Auto? Would you be willing to pass up a potentially great PSP game for the sake of SNES emulation? Me, I'd take Kirby Superstar any day of the week.
[thanks, Craig]
