IGN has posted an article claiming that Xbox 360 developers have finally received high performance beta kits,
replacing the current generation G5 systems. It's understandable if you're feeling a tinge of deja vu, as we thought
this was all tied up three weeks ago. The difference this
time around is that IGN claims to have three sources that confirm their arrival. Whether IGN is stuck in a time warp or
the old report was fake is hard to tell. It's quite possible that the kits have been with the devs all this time but
that it has just taken this long for them to come out and admit it to their gaming press pals.
What hasn't changed is the prospect of those multiple G5s cluttering the desks of 360 devs worldwide. I'm prepared to
offer a free shipping service in the name of alleviating desk space; just send 'em over to my house! Also, for a giggle
check out the typo in the title of the IGN piece.
