Strike
two for Uwe Boll this summer with the announcement of the cast of his latest
film based on the action role playing game, Dungeon Siege. Surprisingly the line-up isn't all that bad, which makes you
feel sorry for the actor's careers since this film will inevitably be torn apart by the critics (professional and
amateur alike).
The lead character will be played by Jason Statham (who worked on Collateral with Michael Mann and appeared in the classic Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) who has voiceover experience as Sgt. Waters in the 2003 game Call of Duty. Maybe Statham can teach Boll a thing or two about the translation from the console to the big screen. Then again, Boll has chosen to waste the talent of Kristanna Loken by casting her as a magic tree. Uwe's gonna need to hand out a different kind of magic tree with every cinema ticket if he wants this film to do well.
