Bungie has posted a massive cheating FAQ over at it's "Weekly What's Update". The update hopes to bring all the
newbies up to date on what to do if when you get cheated on by the hackers out there in Xbox Live!
cyberspace. It seems like the Bungie staff have been hammering out this message since release day, and that's probably
the case. Cheating in Halo 2 is rampant and Bungie is constantly trying to squash the little turds with each
auto-update. The imminent release of the retail expansion pack on July 5th (which includes all 9 extra multiplayer
maps) is bound to cause more frustration as players learn how to hack the downloaded maps. Until Bungie puts in place a
decent system where cheaters are answerable to the community rather than some heavenly ban machine is the day that Halo
2 becomes fun again. Frankly the current system of an auto-update followed by a massive spike in cheating followed by
an auto-update is getting tiresome.
