We can all spew hyperbole until our faces turn blue and we collapse to the floor, gasping and flailing like freshly
caught trout. Regardless of your position, the fact remains that there are no
easy answers to the question of violence in video games.
What makes this blog entry on the subject so fascinating is the fact that the writer attended
Columbine High School. Knew the killers. Knew
the killed. A person that, if you believe such things, has been touched by the effects of video game violence. (Doom
was supposedly a big inspiration for Klebold and Harris.) Considering the circumstances, you may think that this would
place him firmly on the anti-gaming side of the fence.
In that case, you would be wrong.
