The guys over at Bizarre Online have announced that their upcoming racer, Project Gotham Racing 3, will feature a
monthly online tournament. Since all Xbox 360s will include a basic form of Xbox Live! out of the box, everyone that
buys the game that has a broadband connection will be able to track the best players. In order to play in the
tournament gamers will need to pony up $50 for the Gold account. The tournaments will start with a two week qualifying
period where gamers compete for the fastest time on a pre-defined track and car. Then the top players will be entered
into the next stage to compete in a knockout stage which will be televised on 'Gotham TV'.
The only thing to say about this is "What took them so long?". There's already a massive infrastructure for this kind
of online tournament in the original Xbox Live! Ah well, respect to the Bizarre crew for committing to an online
tourney.
