Now before all the Nintendo faithful start singing their praises, and before the Sony fanboys litter our comments
section with hate mail, let us say this, we don't agree with everything the Wavemetrix report cites. In fact,
we don't believe there will ever be a definitive answer as to which handheld holds the crown—it simply comes
down to opinion; to each his (or her) own.
As for the Wavemetrix report, which claims to have been based on user opinions compiled from internet forums, the clear winner is the Nintendo DS: "DS is better than the PSP in every important area," including quality, value, screen, and games. The report goes on to make some rather ridiculous claims, none more striking than a positive/negative lists of games for both handhelds. Hi atop the positive list for the DS is NFSU2, which, strangely enough, is rated in the negative on the PSP list along with Ridge Racer, Tiger Woods, and Twisted Metal—note: NFSU2 is not a PSP game. Even more odd, is Smart Bombs ranking on the positive side. The DS also has a number of games on the positive side that haven't been released yet, like Elektroplankton and Metroid Prime Pinball.
A report like this is hard to take seriously. Not to mention, if it truly is based off of forum discussion, where is
all the homebrew talk?
