Gamespot has got their grubby hands on a preview release of the upcoming Burnout Revenge, the sequel to Burnout 3:
Takedown. I hold the original Burnout series of games close to my heart so it's good to hear that, in the opinions of
the Gamespot writer, the winning formula hasn't been tampered with too severely. Players will have bigger jumps to
catch more airtime in crash mode and they'll have more control over the car as it sails through the air towards
impending destruction. Criterion have also been striving to make the in-air sections a lot more stylish, with stunts
like flying your car through a massive donut being possible (before you start fantasizing, they mean the plastic kind
you get on the top of donut shops). The additions to crash mode is just scratching the surface of Criterion's excessive
tweaking of the game, so check out the preview for the full takedown lowdown.
[Thanks, Lee]
