Have you ever been on a bus and thought to
yourself how wonderful it would be to play the Sims 2 while you were waiting for your stop? Yeah, me neither - in fact,
I kind of miss the days when Snake was the only game. I liked Snake, and now all the new super-cool super-gadget
cell phones seem to have forgotten the joy of circling around a small screen trying to avoid hitting your tail while
grabbing an apple at 2 frames per second. Anyways, Electronic Arts is preparing to sink its teeth into the mobile
phone market by releasing a few favored franchises onto Verizon and Sprint phones – more specifically, between 20 to 25
titles, including The Sims 2, Need for Speed Underground, and every sport ever conceived by man and published by
EA.
I understand EA desires to control everything with a power cord or rechargeable battery, and maybe I am naïve
(probably), but how often are you out long enough to play an exhibition game of Madden 2006 on your cell phone?
If I am on a long trip, my game boy keeps me more than comfortable. If cell phones can play top-notch games,
mp3's, take pictures, watch videos, and surf the Internet, aren't they just Sony PSP's with phone capabilities?
All joking aside, and in all honesty, can someone explain to me why he or she (or someone he or she knows) needs such a
hardcore gaming library on their cell phone?
