To be mentioned among the ranks of such games as Ico, Rez, and God of War is an honor – that is, unless you are a
publisher trying to make a dollar. And so begins Prodigious Gaming's preview of Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy, an
ambitious science-fiction cinematic game. In the game, you play a man who, for reasons unknown (even to himself),
kills a man in a diner bathroom. From then on every move you make, from varying points of view, alters the game's
story as you try to discover why this happened. You have free control to make decisions, and since the game is
told in real time, you have to make your decisions quickly.
Indeed, it is very hard to explain, but the article is a very good read for those who want to believe creativity is
still alive in the games industry. According to the developer's website, Quantic Dreams, Fahrenheit: Indigo
Prophecy is set to be released in September on Xbox, PlayStation 2 and PC.
