X2 was a pretty good game. While the much lusted after modern version of Elite still eludes us, X2
was on the money, and probably the closest we've come in a
while.
Some folk, this early on, think X3 will merely be a more shiny version of X2. Whether than turns out to be true or
false, we'll have to wait and see. For now, you will have to content yourself with this Gamespot Designer Diary. The
first part is a history lesson really, but expect more pertinent information down the line.
