I thought they said the CPU would be liquid cooled? Seems like a bogus pic to me. Not that you couldn't have an early version that didn't use a liquid cooling system or something, but I still call BS.

capacitor, port, and mobo-shape is identical. I'd guess this is legit. As for the lack of WC; it might be a devkit, or just an old pic from a demo unit or something.

those blue LED's don't seem very 360... green would be more convincing...

Yeah, I'm starting to think it's all being done on purpose. They may feel they need to steal some Sony spotlight now.

It just looks like an air cooled prototype, nothing strange or fishy about that...

For comparison, look at the cooling required for the Cell processor powered IBM server. It's running at 2.4 - 2.8 GHz, not the full 3.0 Ghz, so it should give you an idea about how much cooling the PS3 requires.

Stop paranoying, this is legit. Look the wires on the left are going out the top of the Xbox like on that Carrot-top kid's picture.

This is possibly one of the dev kit shots, or one of the prototypes. The Power5 CPU and the ATI GPU are supposed to be liquid cooled in some form? And, what about the Power5? Is it 3 cores on one die or 3 separate CPUs? Or a dual core CPU and a single core?

Pic isn't fake, just some version of the 360 mobo that floated around while the system was in development.

I won't presume to know anything beyond a basic understanding of a Motherboard, but I do know that the 360 is a closed box design. There's no viewing window of the innerworkings.

So why are there blue led lights inside the 360 if no one is going to see them?

I doubt the 360's motherboard is covered in blue LEDs.

That is a xbox motherboard. It looks to me like it might be one that is specifically being used for a test, perhaps a electrical test. The lights being added as a way to prove that proper current it getting to those regions.
