Well, someone is trying hard to get EA Game's attention. How, you may ask? A poster to the EA Games'
Battlefield 2 forum claims to have burrowed through a few security holes and has unlocked all weapons to players with
account ID's between 40 and 45 million have had all their weapons unlocked. The poster is mad that he found these
security holes, but that EA never fixed them, so this was his way of getting his point across. He threatens to
next week give out medals and/or upgrade their rank to Sergeant Major.
Is all this unsubstantiated nonsense – just a poster trying to get his 15 minutes? Judging by the list of
replies to his forum post, no. And on top of that, a community
update
has been posted on Battlefield's page, claiming to have found the problem and will have it fixed at the latest tomorrow
morning, so it looks at though the hacker got what he wanted.
Do you think this was the best way to demonstrate the problem, a horrible intrusion on the enjoyment of others, or
just the only thing to do in this situation?
[Thanks, breath]
Battlefield 2 servers hacked? Looks that way
