I know, many of you are very tired of even hearing this guy's name, but he does have a point. Steven Johnson,
author of "Everything Bad is Good For You," a book that notes all the good video games and the Internet have had on
today's youth, has written an open letter in the Los Angeles Times to Senator Hillary Clinton. In the letter,
entitled "Hillary v.s. the Xbox: Game Over," you'll find the arguments we have all heard: this generation's youth is
the least violent, games have been around for ages in all shapes and forms, no one goes after high school football -
just as violent, but not a good political move. However, unlike most times we hear these points, this opinion
piece was published in a major newspaper by an author big enough to grab mainstream attention.
Is this letter going to change anyone's mind? Certainly not, but what does anymore? Still, for
entertainment value it's pretty fun. And if $90 million is really going into an investigation on the video game
industry, well, something needs to be said.
