Madden NFL '06 site launches

Sure hope you like Flash based websites, as the official Madden site is loaded with the stuff, and it all comes
complete with horribly repetitive music. Lovely. Your web browsing experience is now complete.
The site points out a rather amazing fact. It's been 16 years since the first Madden game! Those who can remember the
early versions can at least take comfort in the fact that todays games are largely better than those from 16 years ago.
Sadly, Madden talks a lot more now, but then that's what volume settings are for.
The site offers the usual frills. There's even a community blog. That's it EA, ride the wave, baby.
Madden ships soon on about a thousand different systems.

The new Madden games are PRETTIER than the originals. I wouldn't say better.
Hope you also like unfair labor practices...

WTF, you link to IGN instead of the actual site?
Chocolate Jesus @ Dec 18th 2005 9:47PM
I don't know what you guys and the people at IGN are talking about. There is -BARELY- any flash on the site at all. There is one flash window the shows a short little movie and then lets you choose between overview & superstar mode. The rest of the page is all D/HTML.
It'd be nice if joystiq would report something, rather than just spewing out the same information that other sites report.

This will probably be the last of the Madden games. The Next NFL game from EA (The 07 line) most likely will be without Madden. Madden himself has signed with NBC for commentary and EA has signed exclusivly with ESPN which just announced Al Micheals and Joe Theisman as their team.
Interesting to see what EA does.
du ma @ Dec 18th 2005 9:47PM
that is absolutely not true. EA will keep the Madden name for atleast the next twelve years.
