New game from makers of Alien Hominid

Alien Hominid

Being a gamer, especially one with a tight budget, I long for the free online games.  While most of them are generally bad (I can remember programming horrendous Puyo Pop variations in Java), when a good game comes along it grabs attention.  Such was the case for Alien Hominid - the little indie game that could.  Created by the founders of Newgrounds, it earned enough fame and recognition to come out on the consoles (and, for the price sold, it was well worth it).

Well, they've done it again, and made another highly addictive game to take me away from my work.  Dad 'n Me may look like a general brawler-type game, but what makes it stand out is the variety of the combos and the humor and detail put into the game.  How can you not laugh about a game where the first level has you beating up kids on the playground?  A word of caution, though, you might have to run the game on lower quality - I ran the game on my one-year young Powerbook and it lagged a little.

Go, try this out now!  Pretend your life depended on it, and then let me know what you think of it.  And remember, it's free!
