Revolution 'interface' probably a fake

Yesterday we posted a picture about a new Revolution 'interface' that came from a "very reliable source connected to Digipen and Nintendo." Reliable with Photoshop, maybe. Yep, turns out we got duped into posting the rumor from the very guy who created the image himself. Oh well, what can you do? Read his confession here on the Newgrounds forums (second to last post on the page). Oops. Well, at least we debunked a couple of Revolution rumors this weekend, so I say we break even, at least (with every two rumors destroyed, another twenty are born - it's the circle of life, sort of).
Later in the posts we find a retraction
to his previous confession as he claims it is still from his friend interning at Nintendo (towards the middle of the
page). Well, I guess we'll see if it is indeed concept art or not, because that picture is definitely not a real
photo.

Not to be mean: but how many of you actually belived this was real in the first place? If it's supposedly "true," then give me high-res pics, not thumbnail sized crap.

The question is not whether or not that's a real photo, the question is whether or not it came from Nintendo. Look at the image again (the full one, not the cropped one you posted here). Now brighten the image. There are 8 little doors all around the thing. Who would take the time to render that, and then hide it in shadows? Now look at what it is sitting on. That is definitely not a render.
Also, it is not simetrical. It would have been extremely easy, if not wholely believable, for the person to render half of the image and then flip it. This person did not do that.
This picture is real. Whether or not that Nintendo logo is a genuine part of the picture is still a question.

Wait, what?! Are you serious!!!!? I thougt for sure that was the real deal, I mean it just looks so convincing. I-I dont know what to believe anymore.

Rumors, rumors everywhere and not a drop of real information. Will someone call me when Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft issue a press release about something, instead of hearing it from Bill Gates' bridge partner's grandson's babysitter's third grade teacher's cousin's friend?
