This beloved application is only available
for the OS X as far as we know, and that's really a bummer because it promises hilarity every time you launch a
program.
According to the application's developer, MegaManEffect: "emulates an effect seen in the classic NES game Mega Man 2. When you launch an OS X application, the screen goes dark, stars sweep the night sky and your application's icon is presented in a blue letter box bar with a cheesy 8-bit music introduction."
Does this even work? Can someone try it out and post a screenshot? Google images returns no results for the term "megamaneffect" so you'd make Internet history if you were first!
