With Nintendo making far less-than-usual profits and Sony and Microsoft showing losses, it's nice to see Sega - the
ones who dropped out of the console market - making some earnings. Today, Sega Sammy has reported a profit of
$95.5 million, and total sales of $986.6 million - just one Sonic platformer short of breaking the billion mark.
Sammy (let's not forget the other half of the company) also showed profits from its pachinko machines - all in all,
153,000 pachinko machines and 1.86 million units of software. Keep on rocking, Sonic, keep on rocking.
What's your favorite Sega game of this last year? Or, for that matter, ever?
