The Dreamcast's death was more than a little unjust. It was a great machine. Worth noting,
however,
is that from the start, Electronic Arts had
nothing to do with the machine. You have to wonder if that, alone, was a significant contribution to it's demise, given
how many people seem to love EA.
Pigskin fans with a DC had no Madden, which left a hole that was gleefully filled by Sega's own NFL series. A series
which went on to become very highly respected, and is, or rather was, the grandfather of the ESPN NFL games we had
until last season.
So grab a TARDIS, and head back to a simpler time! If nothing else, it was nice to get away from Madden's asinine
nonsense.
