3rd Mortal Kombat movie to film in Louisiana

Rayden

Let me just say this: I really liked the first Mortal Kombat movie.  I can still watch it, laugh at the 80's-style music and haircuts (yes, it came out in the mid-90's, but that didn't seem to stop Liu Kang from having a fluffy mullet), but really get into the fighting scenes.  Mortal Kombat : Annihilation, on the other hand - I'd just as soon forget that exists.  There was always a rumor a third installment would be made, and sure enough here comes news that Threshold Entertainment is planning on a building a 150,000-square foot production studio / theme park hybrid in order to make the film.  ""There would be actual movies being made there, and an observation platform to watch" says Threshold CEO Larry Kasanoff, who is lampooning this project.

Any ideas on a plotline for the next Mortal Kombat film?  There are some die-hard Mortal Kombat fans out there, surely you have some ideas!  I'd like to see more Rayden, and maybe Kabal could run down the streets of New Orleans slicing through Mardi Gras.  Well, maybe not.
