It's nice to see Midway have a sense of
humor about its games. Today, GameSpot reported three websites that the company has launched in support of its
upcoming action footballer, Blitz: The League. The first two are
(un)official sites for the
fake league itself, featuring articles written up about player trades, rule changes, and scandals - not too mention a
detailed history of the league dating back to 1902. Even more in the vein of
ilovebees.com is Midway's third website which supposedly has a tell-all
book on the site if you play their silly game. The address is easy to figure out
(especially if you're quick with google) but still a fun diversion.
And, just to top it all off, NetJak has some very entertaining quotes from a press release by Midway that take a few jabs at EA's exclusive license to the NFL. Expect Blitz to hit the ground running in October for Xbox and PS2.
