Electronics Boutique (EB) has released a questionable list of 21 launch titles for the Xbox 360—presumably to be released on November 2nd. The list (via IGN) includes:

Amped 3 (2K Games)
Call of Duty 2 (Activision)
Condemned (Sega)
Dead Or Alive 4 (Tecmo)
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Bethesda)
Final Fantasy XI (Microsoft)
Full Auto (Sega)
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
Gun (Activision)
Kameo: Elements of Power (Microsoft)
Madden NFL 06 (EA)
NBA 2K6 (2K Games)
NHL 2K6 (2K Games)
The Outfit (THQ)
Perfect Dark LE (Microsoft)
Project Gotham Racing 3 (Microsoft)
Quake 4 (Activision)
Ridge Racer 6 (Namco)
Saints Row (THQ)
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (Activision)
Top Spin 2 (2K Games)

Also included in the initial list released by EB, were three games that will definitely not be ready by launch: The Godfather, Too Human Part 1, and Burnout Revenge. However, Perfect Dark and Kameo have been confirmed as day one launch titles—there is still some question about PGR3. EB expects each game to retail for $59.99, except for Kameo ($49.99), but these prices are not final.

One final note, EB has listed Halo 3 for a July 1, 2006 release—can you say, PlayStation 3?

Perfect dark LE? Could that mean Limited Edition? Because im pretty sure the game is called Perfect Dark Zero.

Thats a lot of Top games for launch, more than most consoles in the past have had.

I think that Kameo's price must be an error, most likely based on its price when it was supposed to be an Xbox game.

Now, get us some current screen shots of these games, as well as an official date and price, and we are in business.

Sorry, but I'm not buying a bunch of first-generation games that aren't going to be anything significantly better than the best of this generation for $60. Not gonna happen.

When are game publishers going to realize that they're only digging their own graves going into the next generation? If they want to make more sales, they need to sell their games for better prices. Example: For us that buy DVD's, would you own nearly as many as you do if you had to pay an obscene price of $60 a piece for them? Hell no. So why is it any different than video games?

Keep the prices of the consoles down, keep the prices of the games down. If you do that, you're going to have a much bigger audience than by even today's standards.

The Developers and Publishers are just getting greedy, all this talk about needing more people to make A game is rubbish and Microsoft proved that by releasing XNA which actualy cuts down the time and effort it takes to make a damn game!!

And the PS3 may be harder to program for but I don't think they will need a bigger team, they will just have to work harder.

Meh, the 2 best games on that list are going to be on PC, and will most likely be better on their PC variant. I think I'll be sitting out on consoles this holiday season.

I hope my X800XL will play Quake 4 at 1280x1024 at non-crappy framerates.

If you didn't like the launch list and NOW you're not going to buy a 360, maybe you could tell us what game is missing that changed your mind? This list follows what has always been expected for launch. Gears of war is the only major title missing and it was promised as an early release. At the tokyo game show MS said ther would be 20 plus games for launch and close to fifty by the end of the year. If you're a MS hater then just be one. Don't post comments on the 360 pretending that you were a potential consumer that has now changed his mind. It was "you're" and chill you should chill. It's just a gaming machine and MS is just a company. They are as evil and greedy as sony or any other company. Duerra, you have no Idea how good any of the games will be until we see them in final form. Sam, for the first time console games should look better than their PC counterparts. EB has no Idea how much games will cost (they originally had the xbox launch titles at 59) or what they will be. It's just a guess. Microsoft has also stated that they would like the games to be $49, but they don't control the prices of the games.

My other reasons....
1. The launch titles have had a short devepolment time and are most likely rushed.
2. The first round of systems usually have some kind of tech issues, I'll wait for all the bugs to be worked out.
3. None of those launch games are games I must have.
4. Plus I just spent 12k on two ATV's.
So in short, I never said I wasn't ever getting a 360, No I said I wont be a early adopter. I plan on owning both 360 and PS3. So now you can stfu.

Well, save up your money, this is gonna kill us. I see three titles I want to bring home on opening night, so I'm approaching $500... Assuming there isn't the rumored 'upgraded hard drive,' which would put things closer to $600. Whoa.

#8 and #9: Games cost $50 while DVD's cost $20 because THE MOVIE ALREADY GROSSED MILLIONS AT THE BOX OFFICE. Unlike movies, games have to cover all their developement, publishing and advertisement cost with the sale of their discs while DVD's are just icing on the financial cake for movie companies. Are games expensive? YES. Welcome to capitolism, quit your whining. Also, one should only expect prices on next gen games to be slightly more expensive- more time and energy has to go into them. Data is money and a game that packs 9+ gigabytes will obviously be more expensive to make than a game that packs 4-5 gigabytes. If you haven't noticed, ticket prices on movies has gone up in the past few years too, are you boycotting them as well? It's called inflation- you might want to look into it.

#31: Most movies these days make up their development costs and turn a profit from DVD sales. Movies proceeds are way down and are usually not enough to turn a profit.

psiven: Though that may be true, the fact is that disc media sales are NOT the only source of revenue for movies while they ARE for games. If theatres didn't exist and movies went straight to DVD they would cost as much OR MORE than video games.

That lineup has some pretty interesting games, but like said before some titles will be on PC and most likely will be better due to PC advancements that keep popping up. If Microsoft and developers don't tell us when these games are coming out. We won't have a very good lineup by Xmas , and due to the backwards compatibility problem god knows what we're gonna play. I hope Ninja Gaiden, DOAU, DOA3, and the Halos are on it.(the latter is an almost definite.

considering that the developers of pc/360 games have state there will be differnce in noticeable framrate or any differnce graphically between the two versions - i wonder why pc fanboys conitnue to assume that their pc verison of games will be oh so much better then 360 versions. OF course these are the same people that direclty compare pc and console specs - so listen to them isnt the best place to start to being with...

I just thought that id bring up that this guy is a retard. The first thing that comes to mind is Its NOT JUST A GAME COUSOLE ANYMORE it is an media device. Which means it 1 plays games 2 plays dvds 3plays music 4conects online to others for purposes other than games. So if you separate each of these qualities into its own (1 good dvdplayer that plays dvds and music)id say $200 for a good one and if you dont agree you obviously havnt bought a dvd player in a few years. (2 a computer for conectivity but for the purposes of staying cheap ill go with a pda) An easy 500 for a good pda with the conectivity that the 360 will have. (3 a gaming counsole and for nice purposes ill say you got it for free so you dont seem like a total retard when you add it all up.In the end it looks like 700 dollars wow id say that the 360s 400 pricetag looks prety good 300 for the low end modle.And thats just my first step to proving this guys incompitance and lack of brain cells. My second point and ill just end it there so that this disgrace to the human species dosent deevolve on us. Is A DVD CONTAINS AT MOST 3 COUNT IT 3 HOURS OF CONTENT and i know what your thinking (snivily child voiceover) but what about the series things that have 7 hours.
