Nintendo is, admittedly, behind on the whole online gaming thing. So with its Nintendo DS, the company is
making its best effort to get it done right. If you don't already have a MyNintendo account, you can sign up for
one (although the process is painstaking, so only the die-hard need apply). Between now and September, those
registered with Nintendo can fill out a simple survey in which, essentially, asks you to download a program that has
your computer 'ping' Nintendo's servers, just to check for latency issues, I presume. Nintendo hopes to have its
Wi-Fi Connection service up and running by the end of this year. So at least by New Year's we'll have some idea
how serious the Big N's online plans are.
