Back in November, there was the
updater that hinted to a suite of upcoming functions for
the PSP. Now, a Sony exec has waxed poetic about the possibility that the PSP could handle more than still
pictures (even though we still don't have a camera for the thing), moving on to the land of video chat. According
to Games Indsutry.biz, which was according to Gamespot, which was according to japanese magazine Famitsu, the exec in
question said something like "We think it would be great if people could communicate together with the use of video and
voice." I love this kind of rumory stuff, cause to be quite honest, it could just be the musings of an
executive. He could also have said "I wish this thing could open my garage," or "It would be nice if you could
buy drinks at kiosks with it." Either way, I wouldn't be holding you breath for video chat on the PSP anytime
soon. But we can all dream.
Video chat in the works for the PSP?
