City of Heroes was, to me, a great idea to stand out of the general MMORPG crowd. A well-executed, fun game
that seemed to honor the classic comic book hero of old. City of Villains, from what we've seen online, seems to
be shaping up to work well alongside the game. The best part, of course, is that the game is a stand alone
product - meaning, you don't have to buy City of Heroes to be a part of the dark side. Well, Cryptic Studios and
NCSoft are going all out on a great pre-order package for its upcoming game: an exclusive in-game item, a CD of
artwork, a two-week free trial of City of Heroes for you and a friend, and, most of all, a two day headstart in
City of Villains as well as access to the upcoming beta test. That's quite a deal for a game that will probably
do well on its own merit.
