In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Uwe Boll has spoken out on his
thoughts for distribution of film and games media. His thoughts are that films (and probably games) should be released
simultaneously across all formats on release day. This would have the effect of allowing people to buy copies of the
DVD as they leave the theater and presumably he'd also like for people to be able to pick up copies of the game (since
all of Uwe's films are based on games). This kind of multi-format of film and game release has happened before (The
Matrix 2/3, Star Wars: Episodes 1-3) and has had very successful sales figures as a result, despite the games not being
particular excellent. The only problem I can see is that after seeing any of Uwe's films in the cinema, not many people
would want to pick up a copy of anything related to what they just saw. So my advice to Uwe is; make better
movies of our cherished games and then resuggest this plan.
[Thanks, Barry]
