Either:
1. This is BS
2. This is real and I have nothing to live for

I assure you, it's no BS. And yes, it's too bad because it WOULD be great on the DS. Granted, this isn't to say it could never happen, but rather there's no plans for it to anytime soon.

Sell your DS and you are a fool. Latest quota says 7 million DS sold, 3 million PSP sold. And if you check EBgames, this fall there are many great DS games to be released. More then I can say about the FlopStation Portable...

I'm sure the news of development came from Konami themselves...

They certainly have never denied it despite it being on every major news site. Allowing these rumours to spread knowing them not to be true would only hurt them in the long run. I call BS until Konami issue a press release

Smurf, I take it you mean Namco? You will be waiting a long time if you are holding out for Konami to make a Katarmari-related press release :)

i can't see katamari damacy being good on the DS...

one of the really innovative things about the game is its controls, and how can you copy that on something with no analog sticks??

I think it would've worked great with just the touch-screen. We could've rolled around katamaris as if they were a rollerball. How could anyone not see this as the perfect ds game. I thought this was why they came out with pacNroll; to see how well a katamari game would work. I for one am really disappointed, this was the game I was really looking forward to (this and Trauma Center) on the DS. This game was the reason I got a ps2 and one of the reasons I got a DS. I've already gotten fed up with my psp and sold it; that thing was more high maintenance than my last girlfriend. If Trauma Center and the strategy games for the DS are as much a disappointment, I'm ditching the ds too. I still use my GBA sp more than any of those anyway.

Yeah this would be great on the DS, but I am sure Sony is holding their balls on this.

There are so many more listed good AAA games on the DS then PSP.

That's terrible cuz I was really looking forward to the Katamari game on the Nintendo DS. I am not sure why they won't do it. Crud...I hope they don't do it for the PSP. The DS needs games.

It is announced that katamari will be on the DS, at least in Japan for now. Even if it doesn't make it to the states, you can always import it from play-asia.com or lik-sang.com
As long as it actually does come out...it is going to be out on psp, and psp doesn't have analog controls...so why not DS? It wouldbe cool to use the stylus to control the katamari ball...
