Most of us wonder about Nintendo and its master plans when it comes
to the decisions it makes - no HD support, a basic DVD medium, etc. It almost seems as if Nintendo is content with a
third place position. A Joystiq commentor from a previous
post made mention of this post, and I think it
deserves a read. A former PR person for Club Nintendo thinks she might have the answers (and that, yes, Nintendo might
actually not mind its current position). In her post, she has listed 8 reasons why Nintendo's strategy makes sense for
a company that wants to make a profit with as little cost to them as possible.
It is a very insightful read, though old (from late June), and those do not come along very often in message boards,
so take note.
