Major Nelson has been a great source of information in the past to the good people here at Joystiq, and the flow of news just keeps getting better and better as the release of the Xbox 360 gets closer and closer. (There was that bit about S-Video cables and such, but we can let bygones be bygones now, can't we?) At any rate, to make up for lost time, perhaps from a biking incident or two, J Allard will be making himself available for a chat this Sunday afternoon (that's tomorrow!) from noon to 1:00 PM PT in an open forum to get feedback and answer the Xbox community's questions about the 360 firsthand. Apparently, he approached Major Nelson to set up this live chat where anyone with a .NET Passport can attend, and any questions can be asked. The major will weed out inappropriate ones, of course, but you'll have to be there to ask 'em.
If, for some reason, however, you're unable to make it (shame on you!), just leave your questions as comments here and we'll do our best to get them answered from the guys in charge.
Anything else, Major?
?J would like to provide some perspective around the two SKU approach for Xbox 360, and answer as many questions as he can about the Xbox 360 during the hour. This will be a very candid discussion. I am expecting this will be a popular chat.?
Oh, I?m sure it will be. The major states that so long as you log in with your Passport, you should be good to go with the link that points directly here. The chat was also said to work ?on Mac and Firefox.? Major Nelson will make a transcript of the chat available afterwards (presumably off his web site), but if you?re not there, how else are you going to get your pressing Xbox 360 questions put out there? So be there, or be square (or non-360-degrees-ish)!
And before I forget, the major asks that everyone attending behave nicely: ?It?s important to know that the Xbox execs really value your opinions and insights, as is demonstrated by J wanting to meet with everyone. As J is showing his respect for your opinion by participating in this dialog, I would hope you treat him with the same respect.? Joystiq readers, do us proud!
Update: The chat went down, and it was pretty exciting? until I realized that I couldn?t get in. Read the details here.
