Activision gave these perty iron-on patches to players who achieved winning scores in some of
the video games that they published in the 1980s. Now they're selling on eBay for $50.00.
Hear that thunk? Somewhere out there a Joystiq reader kicked himself for tossing out patches just like these after he got sick of being teased for wearing them. If only he had the foresight to see that one day eBay would be invented and that one day those tossed patches would be selling for beaucoup bucks.
Then again, in 1983 dollars these patches cost just $26.50. (Feel free to use that figure when justifying the expense to your spouse, just be sure to credit Joystiq when you do, thanks.)
