With only 5 days to go until the start of the UK's only trade game event we thought that we'd give European readers
an advance look at what'll be going down at Games Market Europe. I'll
be there checking out the varied list of exhibitors attending the event, from Crazy Frog Racing game developers,
Digital Jesters, to publishing Gods, Electronic Arts. You can check out the full exhibitor list
here.
Here's an amalgamation of the buzz about the newbie game trade event. To start with;
Ubisoft have announced what they will be demonstrating at the
event. The main news is that they'll be revealing the result of Ubisoft's collaboration with director Peter Jackson by
showing off King Kong, the video game. They'll also be
demoing Prince of Persia 3, Far Cry Instincts and Ghost Recon
Advanced Warfighter.
Vivendi Universal will be scaring the show floor with full
versions of their upcoming horror game, F.E.A.R., as well as demoing Crash Tag Team Racing and The Incredible Hulk:
Ultimate Destruction. They'll also be showing a promotional video (bah!) for their upcoming title 50 Cent:
Bulletproof.
Game publisher NCSoft have announced
that they?ll be revealing their latest MMORPG, City of Villains, the sequel to the highly popular City of Heroes.
Auto Assault, a MMOG which meshes vehicular combat with role playing elements, will also be shown at the NCSoft
stand.
I?ll be checking out all the above stands as well as asking the British Board of Film Classification their views on
the recent Hot Coffee scandal, looking to see how Codemaster?s Operation Flashpoint 2 is coming along as well as asking
the Digital Jester guys how annoying it can get working on the Crazy Frog Racing game. It?s gonna be a busy day!
If you?ve got any interesting questions you?d like to put to attendees of the event, I?ll do my best to pass them
along.
