So, did the latest DS bundle deals pass you by? Did you catch
the $162 Overstock.com one on a DS and
Nintendogs? No? What about the $130 Amazon.com/Toys "R" Us DS bundle with Spider-Man 2 and a Pro
Gamer's Kit? Or the $130 DS/Mario 64 bundle at Wal-Mart? None of
those, either? Did Amazon cancel your
$15 price-mistake pre-order on that Chihuahua
title? Well, fear not, wannabe Nintendog owners, have I got a deal for you… but you've only got until the end of the
day today (Tuesday the 30th) to take advantage of it!
Here's the deal: head to your local TRU (Toys "R" Us)
before its doors close tonight and grab a DS (Titanium or Electric Blue), a copy of Nintendogs (I picked up
Lab & Friends myself, pictured above), and one of those $15 Intec DS Starter Kits off the shelves. Total
'em up before the end of the day, and you can have 'em all for a cool $150 plus tax. Add in
this scanned coupon (which only works if your
particular store and cashier will take it), and you'll cut another $10 off your total. Not every employee in the "R"
Zone is even aware that this promo was extended past Saturday, so the coupon's not a done deal by any means (though the
bundle should still ring through no problem). At any rate, this is what I did last night, and I think I'm a better man
for it. Thanks to tubtub for the
great follow-up to his original DS price-drop post, and to
Drensch as well for
hosting/linking the coupon online for everyone else to share. (Registration required to view the
CAG forums, and it's probably also recommended that you shrink that coupon
before trying to print it.)
Final resort: if you hate Nintendogs with a passion and would rather grab Super Mario 64 DS on the cheap instead, it looks like Wal-Mart has the $130 DS bundles with Mario 64 back in stock online. (Good luck finding ?em on store shelves.) You may have to pay more for shipping over visiting TRU?s brick & mortar stores, but a game?s a game. If you still can?t decide, just remember that the TRU Nintendogs deal may only be good till the end of the day, so you better make up your mind quickly. The Walmart listings are current and in-stock at the following URLs as of 7:30 AM ET:
Titanium DS with Mario 64 - $129.82 (online only)
Electric Blue DS with Mario 64 - also $129.82 (with a tiny sliver of a chance of being found in stores? phone first?)
