He did offer it,but honestly he just said buy him an alarm clock and he'd be fine, I'm not lying on that part. Then I asked him if $50 was fair and he said that'd be fine, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy it at the time (early june). Just like to get things new for the most part when I can afford it(computer from him woulda ran me $1k, i paid $225).

Yes he offered. I didn't take him seriously, probably because I didn't want to. If you want I'll buy it off of him and ship to anyone on here that feels like paying $100 for it. It's hardly been used, so it's like new. I can vouch for that.

This conversation... is retarded. We're debating how many people we've seen on public transportation... and then we're debating their value as people.

Why are so many DS people posting stories on a PSP thread?

You do realize you can own all systems and be a fanboy. Hating the systems you own and pledging a n allegiance to a particular one blindly is being a fanboy. I did own a DS, but I hate the fucking thing. I think people will agree on the fact that I'm a sony fanboy despite giving the DS a chance.

"Why are so many DS people posting stories on a PSP thread?"

As I mentioned, their games suck, they feel threatened by the PSP, so they have the need to pop onto every single PSP thread and spout the same rhetoric of "BUY DS! OUR GAMEZ R TEH ROOLZ!"

Personally, I'm a fan of not wasting my money. $125 for a portable system that plays the same DVD movies that I have at home sounds much better than $300 for a smaller screen and the need to buy more copies of the movies I already own. But that's just me.

But 32_Footsteps...

...If you did the SMART thing and got a DVD player to watch the movies you already own, you won't be showing the world just how wealthy you are. Nothing attracts the ladies more than flagrant and excessive displays of waseful spending, like flashing around a portable movie collection on an overpriced toy/fingerprint magnet.

Come on, what would attract the ladies more than that? Puppies?

Actually I just like the idea of not having to carry my DVD player like a briefcase. It's inconvienent. Never known someone to show off their PSP because it's expensive, maybe that's just my area. Anyone I know with one just uses it, and generally hates it draws attention from others.
"That the new Nintendo?!?"
"That play PS2 games doesnt it? How do the discs fit?"
"Can you watch DVDs on that?"
"That's cool, can i play with it?"

PSP is $250 for the record. Also if it's the size that matters, why not just watch your shit at home? I mean, 32 Foot, in the Nintendogs thread when I posted negatively about the topic I got viciously raped by everyone on the messageboard... yet you do it here and look, people stay civil. Nice double standard, you can disagree, but i can't.

You called someone a cunt in the other thread and shouted in caps. Not the best way to make friends.

Not a double-standard. You weren't civil.

I'm not looking to make friends.

I also don't think I've overstepped any bounds. I just think your logic is flawed. Cheddar header.

We can let bygones be bygones now, can't we? Let's just avoid more abusive or vulgar comments, all right? The folks in charge want me to delete these comments (or simply "turn off" threads that devolve into flame wars), so please don't belabor the point about what's allowed or not (and spurring even angrier responses by continuing to flame in the process). Those comments will simply be deleted from here on in.

The stores around here in Boston have been selling a new PSP for around $300. This admittedly might be a case of stuff in Boston being more expensive. It wouldn't be a first.

As for a portable DVD player, they're often only about an inch or two wider than a DVD now, and about as thick as a DS folded up. It might be inconvenient to bring it around on a day trip out and about, but then I usually don't have time to even watch a 22-minute television episode, let alone an entire movie. For longer trips, it's a quite convenient size.

And the argument about being able to use the same media for home and portable viewing is still a powerful and effective one.

Reckless, Buck was probably making reference to what you said in comment #54. (So I guess it was you who called yourself a fanboy! =)

I CALLED MYSELF A FANBOY!?!?!?!?!

heheh... yea I know, I forget to drop a [/sarcastic tone] idicator everytime.

It's just that I was reading how uncool it is to own a PSP from the earlier posters.

I like to thank everyone that post's on this here site (yes, even the flaming fanboyposters). Make's working hours alot more bareable. All other sites seem be blocked off at work >_<
