GameStop unveils latest Xbox 360 bundle…
You still can't buy just the Premium Pack, a game on the side, and walk away. It's all about the bundle—at least, that's what the game retailers are trying to dictate to us. And if you thought GameStop's 'super-bundle' (now the Ultimate Bundle) was outrageous, check out their latest offering, The Omega:

Anybody who buys that ought to be shot.
Spooky @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
If I had the money I would buy it I mean I would have something to play for a very very long time
Josh @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
This is why I preordered my Xbox360 at a retail Gamestop. I'm only going to buy the $399.99 system, 2 games and a play and charge kit.

For the love of God
Rob @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
How much money would that save you?

Free advertising is awesome!
If anyone can unveil an even more expensive bundle, they can get free advertising all over the intarwebs. Nice.
swoosh bnd @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
Yay, walmart is so great to us. We can pick our own games! That is something I would definately consider buying, exactly what I'd want. They're not overcharging us either.
Edward @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
The fact that such an option exists leads me to believe that there was enough interest in the previous ridiculous bundles to warrant this one. And if people will buy it, then they should offer it. But I'll wait in line and pick my poison.
Lectoid @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
So does that mean the PS3 bundle, if it has more games at launch, will be.............
100 billion dollars? *puts pinkey to lips*
Peg_Leg @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
LOL,
that is the funny thing.
we know that if we buy the premium bundle for $400, we save alot of money becuase it is a great deal.
ok, but then these wackos are giving away every 360 game you could think of with all the accessoires. alright, go ahead, do the math , add 60 bucks per game, and then add the money for each accessoiry....ya, thats what i thouhgt. you actually dont save any money.
you might save a few bucks, but i know i wouldnt buy a $2,000 xbox 360 bundle.
since you dont save any money, i would just buy all the accessoires individually, because they may be some games that you didnt want in the first place. you know what i mean?
its crazy, i doubt more than 6 people will buy that.
i think gamestop has been swiggin down some happy juice. lol.
jimmy @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
does anyone know if your current subscription to Live wil carry over to the 360, or will you have to purchase another live membership? I only just re-newed my current membership for another year like 3 months ago...
Robbie Sinclair @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
That sad part is someone is actually going to buy that fucking bundle.
Morgon @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
Actually, if you count the items, you save nothing. Going by the retail cost of each item, it pretty much matches $2K (maybe a dollar or two off, depending on the .88 or .95 price suffixes, instead of whole dollars)
O'Neill @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
I preordered my Xbox 360 before those lame bundles at EB. Now, that $50 that I put down, is that for the Premium Xbox 360 or for those stupid bundles?Anyone? I'm not interested in having all those games!!! I want the freedom to chose my own games. The only games I'm intererted in are: Project Gotham Racing 3,Dead or Alive 4,Call of Duty 2, and Quake 4.
Rocket Punch @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
I mean seriously, the "Ultimate Bundle" is for poor people! LMAO
Rod @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
Yes Jimmy your current xbox live subscription will carry over to xbox360
JDuB @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
preorderd 2 this is going to be huge!
tpp @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
That bundle is great for charitable donations to hospitals, terminal care units, etc.
Einhanderkiller @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
OMEGA... nice.
Shit.. @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
WOW...thats all i gotta say..let alone i cant even afford the core package
Todd @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
That's nothing...you should see my very own bundle (Game Todd). It's the OMEGA SUPREME bundle!!!!!!! Everything plus every accessory and game FOR THE LIFE OF THE SYSTEM!!!!!! Only 250,000 bucks...what a deal!?!?! As the games and accessories come out I'll FedEx them directly to you overnight!! If I can get bootleg pre-released stuff, Ill send it too. Now nobody can beat my bundle, and I thought of it first. Losers
Ms. Ribbits @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
I just did the math and it seems like they're making an extra $200 or so. It doesn't add up. It hardly seems like a deal.
dusda @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
*sighs*...I really hope this trend of bundles doesn't spoil the Revolution's or PS3's release. I will not pre order a console if all I can get is a rip off of a bundle pack.
Christopher7xii @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
"As the games and accessories come out I'll FedEx them directly to you overnight!!"
As an employ of FedEx, I'd advise not doing this, unless you plan on reimbursing a lot of buyers.
Sergio @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
And not a game I'm interested in. Won't be getting one this year... unless I win one.
Andrew @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
If it doesn't come with a 30" LCD Widescreen TV it's a rip-off.
Period.
benhc911 @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
Todd, wouldnt it suck if the system had a life of seven years, and over time, inflation, coupled with countless games forced you to lose thousands of dollars?
lol
Todd @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
Christopher7xii - I guess you don't recognize sarcasm when you see it or you just don't have a sense of humor.
benhc911 - LOL...yea, it would. However, I think if someone was actually foolish to pay too much for any bundle then they deserve to get ripped off. Anyway, I'd just take the money and run.
Joe @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
ETA 11/1/05?
Deep.Grave @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
Oughtn't they change the name of the cheap(er) bundle to the penultimate bundle? just wondering...
Emil @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
Limit one per household.
BWAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAaaaaaaaaa!!
Now I'm good for the rest of the day.
dihrdgamer @ Dec 18th 2005 10:00PM
Don't buy anything online unless you live 40 miles in the bush and your post office is three days away by packmule......
