Nintendo has released initial sales estimates
for the US release of Nintendogs to the tune of 250,000 units in the first week of availability—a figure that might
have been stunted by limited quantities. In any case, this makes Nintendogs the "best-selling new game franchise ever
for a portable system." If there was ever any question as to whether or not anyone can resist a puppy dog (even
virtual), well, we believe that question has just been answered.
