With all this concern about who is saying what and when, it is hard to remember that these shows are actually about showing off games. The Tokyo Game Show 2005, set to begin September 16, is a chance for companies to let their images shine and present their future titles for attendees to watch and/or play. Square Enix and Namco have released tentative lineups. From Namco, we will get to see Soul Calibur III, Tales of the Abyss, and Ridge Racer 6 for the Xbox 360, among others. On Square Enix's side, there is a guarantee of Kingdom Hearts 2, Dirge of Cerberus, and Xbox 360's version of Final Fantasy XI. Where is Final Fantasy XII? Maybe it will make a surprise showing, at least bringing the same demo from the Square Enix show.
