WoW DS would be awesome! If the technology isn't there for a full blown WoW, some kind of port based on the Diablo 2 or Warcraft 3 engine would be more than sufficient.

Heck, I'd like to see a port of Diablo 2.

If feasible, TIE Fighter. Control would be difficult to get right, but graphics wise it would be similar to the 3D sections of the Revenge of the Sith game, so the DS could probably handle it.

Imagine an online wifi deathmatch with a squadron of TIEs versus X-Wings, communicating via the microphone.

If anyone has played Nanostray or anyother games that takes advantage of the DS's 3D capabilities you all know what it's capable of. I'd love to see WC II Battle.net(my fave) on there. Starcraft I guess would be cool...never played it, but Blizzard has never hurt me or the gaming community before.

I'd totally dig some old infinity engine games from Bioware. I'm thinking Baldur's Gate/Planescape Torment. Holy crap, I'd buy a separate DS for each of them.

1. Ragdoll Kungfu. Yes, it's been said before, but what a perfect fit for the DS.

2. Command and Conquer: Red Alert.

3. RC Pro-Am 2006. New game idea. (You saw it here first!) It's a totally overhauled RC Pro-Am with full 3d graphics, environments and realistic physics. Best of all, the touch screen becomes a little "garage" where you design your cars. Design your body, rig the suspension, drag and drop components and weapon systems, tighten screws, jack up shocks, etc, etc. You could even use the stylus to "paint" the body any design/color that you want. Add Internet wireless play and bam, you have an awesome game. If it's done right, it becomes another system seller.

Have any of you actually played WOW or know someone who does?

Half of their User-Interface wouldn't even fit on BOTH screens. The game would be such a chore to play, you'd have to collapse and expand so many information tabs to do anything and still see the actual game world. Also, a ton of WOW freaks use customized mods for their UI ala Cosmos.

I really love the idea in general though, you'd just need a much more simple and "fun" title to do it with, not a gigantic pointless treadmill draped in UI windows.

Harvest Moon sure would be a lot easier with touchscreen support...

But I would love, love, LOVE to see Counter-Strike ported to the DS. Can you imagine? Playing wirelessly with anyone in the world, top screen is the action, bottom screen is the map, menus, etc. Thumb control ala Metroid Prime: Hunters. That would rock my world!

Tie Fighter?! No way. That game took up an entire keyboard plus a mouse to play. It would have to be severely stripped down to work on a DS.

X Men Legends (fun on the Cube, when you play four player, but you have to pause each time someone wants to level up, and die if you get stuck in a corner and can't see where you're going)

Lego Star Wars would be fun too

Personally, I want games like Myst, Journeyman Project Turbo, The Incredible Journey, and others on the DS.

Reginald P, Rebelstar Tactical Command will be out by next week for the GBA.. you best be buying it! It's from the X-Com people. Support it!

That should be official that more people don't want PSP.

"DS (528) vs PSP (1,317)"
First, don't know why you brought this up. No one has even mentioned a PSP in this thread. Anyways, 98% of those are still brand new, sealed in package, for BOTH systems. If you wanna sell a used system, most people go through Gamestop or something.

Going back, Journeyman Project Turbo... Interesting game, can't believe there's someone that isn't me that played that game. Came with my computer back in like 1995 or something.

Conrad... "A portable version of World of Warcraft that could link up to your character via wifi hotspots. Never spend another moment away from your online personality." You are Satan. Definitely not something WoW users need, as all the users I know play a ton already. But if we're still barking up that tree, how about a seperate game, where it allows you to do something that affects your WoW character. Perhaps a minigame that lets you upgrade your weapon or refine supplies like skinning, etc. Would be interesting.

Aside from that, I would really really love Reb Assualt 2: Jedi Knight. Also, an un-nerfed Ages of Empires WOULD have been nice. Also they're pulling worms which should port nice.

The original arcade version of Punch-Out!! used two screens on top of each other... seems like it would be perfect for the DS.

Also, how about an updated version of Mario Paint? That would work great with the sylus.

As much as I LOVE Starcraft.. they shouldn't do a port.. after I saw how much they butchered the AOE Port.. http://www.gamespot.com/ds/strategy/ageofempiresiiageofkings/index.html

I don't want them to make a crappy port like that... It isn't even a port.. just a raping of a good title.

That's all that a Starcraft port would be.. a raping of a good title..

Well, if you're looking for Super Smash Bros. -style gameplay, you could always import Jump Superstars. It's obviously not exactly the same (Monkey D. Luffy vs. Goku is a bit different from Kirby vs. Link). But having played the two SSB games and JS, there's a clear gameplay evolution.

Hey #28 andrew:
have you played the AOE port on the DS? I think its hasty to call it crappy, its not real time but the demo i Played seemed very promising. I dont know, sorta sad that we sit here wanting to name ports of games, and thats what we usually get anyway. How bout a whimsical post on the new types of games no one has ever seen they'd like to see come out for the DS.

#14 Philip Wesley : While the rebelstart tatical command is by codo games (the original designers of xcom) I was a bit put off that all it is going to be is the tatical side, no base building, no researching which to me was 70% of the fun...

maybe on the DS :)

I'd love to see a xwing vs. tie fighter for the ds but I wonder if it would translate well onto such a small screen.
Marble madness (or any tracball game) would be killer on the touch screen. But what I'd really like to see is a touch screen style tracball Katamari Damacy on the DS.
After playing Advance Wars DS, I think the machine is perfect for tactical strategy games and I want to see a more mature battlefield title like Dawn of War make it onto a ds card.
As for WoW, It would be great to have something like that for the DS, especially with the wireless multiplayer, but it can't be the same as the computer. It would first have to be slightly less involving if it's to be a portable. I never got into the mmorpgs but I'd pick one up for the DS if it comes out.

SCUMMVM for the DS sounds like a pretty promising way to get the classic Lucasarts adventure games on the DS for now, though I'd certainly buy official ports from Lucasarts if I could.

Other than those games, what I want to see on the DS are Dreamcast games like Rez or Jet Grind Radio.

-Doom 64 would be good, that was very atmospheric. or just a Doom Legacy kinda game (Doom with mouselook. or stylus as it would be).
would love a Duke Nukem 3D game.
-Lylat Wars.
-Amazed to see nobody has mentioned F-Zero yet. that would put Wipeout back in its place. i mean F-Zero is just... well. we all know how good it is.
-Maybe a Majora's Mask port. i might actually play it then XD

I think i can assume that all the above CAN be done on the DS with no problems. its just a matter of developers getting off their bums

hmmm... just a though but this would be WICKED!!!!!!!!!!

The new Nintendo gaming console -Revolution, has backward compatability AND a past game download service does it not???

It's also supposed to have some kind of Wicked cool feature for linking with the DS....

Wouldn't it be FANTASTIC if the download service for the revolution was DS Download Playable?????

Download the game onto your Revolution HD then whenever you want to play it, DS download play it on your DS... Save games are trasfered to something like a DS SAVE GAME card that'll let you trasfer and save the Revolution downloaded game and save games onto a game cartridge??? (you can already write save game data to a cartridge... so why not a downloaded game through their revolution download service...)

.....
.....
.....

or are they already planning this ......................................................................................................................................

now that WOULD be GREAT!!!!!

oh and i'd like to see a port of:

Star Control 2!!!! best strat game for pc!!!
