Tetsuya Mizuguchi is not a recognizable name
- not yet, at any rate. His last two games, however, have more or less revitalized the puzzle game genre: the
PSP-selling Lumines and the bizarre-yet-addicting Meteos. Mizuguchi has announced via his
weblog (caution: it is in Japanese) that a new "fusion between music and video
game" puzzler will be shown at the Bandai booth at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
There is no word yet on the title (to be revealed on his weblog right before TGS) or the platform – could it be a console game? Next-generation? It is possible – Mizuguchi's other game, the story-driven Ninety-Nine Nights for the Xbox 360, will be at the show, so they have definitely had the dev kits up and running.
