Scans of real-time Metal Gear Solid 4 & Devil May Cry 4!

Metal Gear Solid 4 scan from Famitsu
Oh, the hits just keep comin'... GA forum users are really getting into the Famitsu-scanning swing of things now with some incredible real-time images from both Metal Gear Solid 4 and Devil May Cry 4 for the PS3. We can't wait to see this in a crisp digital screenshot (as opposed to the grainy pages of a magazine). [UPDATE: The trailer for MGS4 will also run on actual PS3 hardware.]

In the scan pictured, a much older-looking Snake—who sure looks a lot like Big Boss, though he's truly Solid Snake—is taking his new brand of tactical warfare to the streets. (Two more MGS4 scans can be found here and here.) That eye "patch" you see here is actually used for remote viewing of enemies through a robotic ally that roams around on wheels. [UPDATE: Could this have something to do with that "Solid Eye" scope just announced for Metal Gear Ac!d 2?] In additional scans posted, a very realistic (but still rather impudent) Dante can be seen frolicking about in the way that only he can in Devil May Cry 4.

The next-gen console wars are really heating up now, folks! We'll see if Microsoft can pull something equally pretty (and exclusive) out of its hat during its pre-TGS press conference tomorrow (which will actually be late tonight here in the States).

[thanks, ROG27]
