The adventure genre (read: not action/adventure) has largely fallen by the wayside—especially in console gaming. Let's face it, in this day and age, where itchy trigger fingers and the need for speed dominate mainstream sales, publishers shun slow-paced, story-driven adventure titles, and thus, developers don't create them. Watch out though, 'cause Indigo Prophecy, developed by Quantic Dream and published by Atari, might have what it takes to stir things up.
