It's bootlegged, but it's awesome. I like how Kojima slams down that this is not another FPS. It seems that the trailers proves that all images previously were genuine. The game looks awesome. And the mini rex looks wicked but their legs look out of place.

I'm surprised they could get all of this in short amount of time.

Gamespot reports that Kojima productions have post the official MGS4 website. They said the direct feed trailer will soon be posted.

http://www.konami.jp/gs/kojima_pro/japanese/mgs4_01.html

Oh and the official name for the game, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. I guess they're refereing to the arsenal that the patriots possess?

It was me that gave Josh from gametrailers.com the video to put up, the proper direct feed one will be up on Konami's MGS4 page soon though.

i like how the first minute of the trailer is a knock to the Xbox. Jokima (Kojima?) definitely has a sense of humour. :D

NO, THE START OF THE TRAILER IS A JOKE ABOUT KILLZONE 2. Also this is a trailer that is cut off to the end, there is more to it.

I checked the MGS4 site just before I left for work this morning and dissapointedly drove to work. Now seeing that the trailer was posted elsewhere already (on a site that is blocked here at work) I can only sigh at how long the day will be now....any mirrors out there that might be hosting??? I've seen the pics and read the impressions on the trailer, but it's definitely not the same as watching. Help out a MGS fan if ya got the mirror.

That trailer is amazing. I seriously doubt that I'll get a PS3, or ever be tricked into buying another MGS title (the only one I really enjoyed was the original) but this trailer is making both those decisions hard.

I could only IMAGINE what this trailer looks like in 1080p. Sadly, it doesn't reveal much, just shows you the level of detail that can be achieved *so far*. The iron cage that Snake is peering out still looks 2-D. But overall it's an impressive trailer that demonstrates the HDR lighting also found on Valve's Lost Coast.

And some people say that killzone 3 graphics is impossible...
This is real time ( as kojima said) and it much better than killzone 3... HA!
Guess wat? he saids that its only gonna get better as the game is early in its development...
Since its kojima, can we even doubt him???

And the facial expressions are better than anything ever done before other than real humans. The animations are awsome because they have awsome mocap actors. The graphics are awsome. And this being Metal Gear on PS3 made by Kojima and his team, it is bound to kick ass, especially with the new improovements he plans to bring.

I don't know, i've always found Kojima to be truthful. At least it's someone who's actually sitting along side the game as it's being made, as opposed to some Sony exec going on about, "YA THIS IS IN-GAME... BAAaaaaM ps3 GET IT".

Time will only tell.

Yah, i found this to be better than the killzone trailer. How ironic. And to think, this game is going to be online multiplayer.

"In my heart of hearts I hope that PS3 trumps the XBOX."

this is a broad statement at best. But I think Sony will still have the broad support from 3rd party developers that it still enjoys today.

I heard somewhere that the DMC4 trialer is presented. I hope capcom releases it today as well, again, it was in real time.

hahaha I love the line where Snake asks Otacon about the mobile robot unit:
"yeah, and it has a Cell processor"

then the robot dances around...

good stuff...

his trailers are always awesome...

LOL, apparently it doesn't end there. I think I read from IGN or gamespot that Otacon shows snake a laptop or something and demonstrates the "Cell processor" by showing Snake the Duck in a tub demo. Kojima is such a prankster.

No health bars!

Seriously though. That was just one big cut scene. Until I see real gameplay I won't be fooled. Why is it that everything Sony shows us is a video? From what I understand MS has playable 360 games on the show floor!

because the xbox360 is launched at least 6 months earlier than the ps3. DUH! of course they have playable games at this time, whereas sony (and third parties) dont.

I agree with #25. The key word here is "cut scene". I have seen lots of real time generated cut scenes in pc games that are awesome but when it comes to "real" gameplay the graphics are good, but not like the cut scenes.

Did anyone noticed that in the "Solid Eye" close up part the eye that's visible is blue ? This might sound stupid but that was the thing that gave off Naked Snake/Jack/Big Boss in MGS3 long before the game was out (that and the dates of course). And another point is that supposedly Solid Snake didn't like knives (I believe it's in MGS1 we can hear him say that in the briefing "clips" but I'm not sure though) and in the video we can see him clearly with one. It can't be Big Boss because the "patched" eye is the wrong one (call me fanboy =D ). The question now is, is that really Solid Snake? I really hope not, this could lead to a inevitable death of Snake and if we really think about it, he was only a main character in one game and a chapter of another (not counting MSX, game boy and PSP games). It's a waste to end up such a charismatic character. At least I'm not seeing Solid Snake using stealth tactics in a wheelchair. Come to think about it, it wloud be nice. Oil the chair a bit so enemies couldn't hear it screaching, hide among the shadows and take his medicines.
Well enough of this nonsense before Kojima gets any ideas :P
Just think about it, if that blue eye isn't there on purpose it would be the first time Hideo Kojima makes a mistake on the other hand it could be there just to screw with our minds (and exceedingly well might I add).
Cheers.

PS: Sorry my bad english

it was real time guys.. we must admit it, hideo has shown us by freezing the demo and rotated the camera to show snak's feet! he also played with the shadows and lighting, i think the final game that we'll be able to play in PS3 will at least have the same quality of this trailer, perhaps better.. PS3 will in fact rule
