An interesting feature of the Tokyo Game Show is the separate kids-only area. This area features loads of kid-safe games and consoles with controllers that are closer to the ground so that they're comfortable for kids to use.
The area isn't very popular, as can be seen from this photo taken on Saturday showing empty queues and ample open floor space, but it's nifty nonetheless. What's also neat is that the ratio of male to female children playing on this floor was nearly 1 to 1. Little girls were abundant, often accompanied by their mothers. This is in contrast to the Electronic Entertainment Expo, where those under 18 are barred entry. (In fact, unlike TGS, E3 makes no provisions for admittance of the general public. It is strictly a trade-only show.)
