When Nintendo
revealed its controller, we thought that the fan community
would take their Photoshop skills and move on to something else – and they have, sort of. Infendo has found three
new mockups related to the Revolution
controller – a steering wheel attachment, a pistol attachment, and a recreation of what one person believes the
Revolution controller should be.
The gun (pictured) and steering wheel seem very likely and inevitable – in fact, the mockups probably look very close
to what will really come out. The controller recreation adds a second 'B' trigger and two more little 'a' and 'b'
buttons, making the controller itself more convenient for Super Nintendo emulation – it is a nice thought, but I wish
the mockup artist had taken the time to change the letters on the added buttons. [Update: the author himself, Nicholas
Roussos, has altered his controller mockup with the SNES button names, which you can view
here. Sorry about the
griping.]
We will probably see a few more of these in the coming months, as Revolution attachments can be anything at all, from
tetherballs to blenders – we have already seen a mockup of the
conventional controller shell from IGN. It'll be
interesting to see what else comes out.
And yet, the Revolution mockups keep on coming…
