Namco has announced its latest PSP venture, a virtual island resort, which features real-time exploration, jam
sessions with ukuleles and steel drums (via ad-hoc), and a portable alarm clock. Players are free to romp around the
virtual island—which progresses in tune with your PSP's time display—alone or with friends. Kick back on a hammock, see
the sites, or rock out with your ukulele… it's up to you. Plus, the game doubles as a portable alarm clock complete
with jungle sounds.
Portable Resort looks like a unique title for a device that is starved for innovative content (heck, just content). But watching my virtual double stretch-out on a hammock isn't exactly my idea of a worthwhile gaming experience—let's hope Namco tosses in some real incentive to play…
