Need we say more? Continuing the on-going fashion for retro Nintendo gear, we're happy to introduce the bluetooth
NES controller headset. Kamalot has posted a couple of shots of the headset
over at his blog. Apparently the "a" and
"b" buttons control the volume and the start button commences and ends calls.
In all it took Kamalot around 4 hours to solder all the bits from a regular bluetooth headset into the NES
controller's shell. Not bad considering its probably quite a tight fit. So what about the social consequences of
carrying around such a blatant piece of video game nostalgia? Is this fusion of gaming devices with everyday items
exposing the geeky underworld of retro gaming?! If so, God help the rest of the world!
Seriously now, this is a decent mesh of practical technology and retro gaming hardware. Other examples like the NES buckle just don't have the techie edge that this thing does. Also, the NES controller actually lends quite well to the headset design and would be a good way of striking up conversations with other like minded gamers. Pity Kamalot's not selling any of these then eh?
