World of Warcraft: The Board Game coming along nicely
GamingSteve has picked up a few new
details on the board game version of Blizzard's über-popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft. Created by Fantasy
Flight Games (yep, same guys who did the
Doom board game), World of Warcraft:
The Board Game allows 2-6 players to choose from 16 characters (all races and classes are represented) and go
about the usual WoW routine: do quests, level up, choose skills, do raids, and so on and so forth.
All in all, it sounds like a very thorough rendition of the game, but the $80 price tag is a bit on the steep side,
and I am not that into board games anyways (I like Scrabble, but I have never played Dungeon and
Dragons). You can get an early look at the game's rules
here. World of Warcraft: The Board game is
set for release this December.
[Thanks, GamingSteve]

Well, now you can do something when the server queue is long.

The Warcraft III didn't make me so happy. What makes this one so special?
Rare Hare @ Dec 18th 2005 10:08PM
no one said anything about WarCraft III..
i think this looks cool but, like Dmitri said, i think i'll keep hanging out with my pen and paper for a while.

The big red dragon looks like it is about to take a shit.

do you realize how fucking huge the board is going to have to be to cover all the Areas?
I'll stick with monopoly though

ok, i want to make an apology. i always jump on people for not reading the article fully or properly, but it seems that i complete mistook the nature of this one (even though the title says World of WarCraft: The Board Game.. duh).
i don't know whether i'm stupid or just really tired, but i thought we were talking about a D&D board game..
sorry.

Seems a bit steep in price. I'd rather put the $80 to a few months of the actual game.
