World of Warcraft: The Board Game coming along nicely

WoW Board game pieces (425)

GamingSteve has picked up a few new details on the board game version of Blizzard's über-popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft. Created by Fantasy Flight Games (yep, same guys who did the Doom board game), World of Warcraft: The Board Game allows 2-6 players to choose from 16 characters (all races and classes are represented) and go about the usual WoW routine: do quests, level up, choose skills, do raids, and so on and so forth.

All in all, it sounds like a very thorough rendition of the game, but the $80 price tag is a bit on the steep side, and I am not that into board games anyways (I like Scrabble, but I have never played Dungeon and Dragons). You can get an early look at the game's rules here. World of Warcraft: The Board game is set for release this December.

[Thanks, GamingSteve]
